1. How to install.

%  ./configure --prefix=/usr/local
%  make
%  make install

If you specify PATH as the prefix argument, the gtkDPS headers are
installed to PATH/include/gtkDPS and the gtkDPS library, libgtkDPS.a
is installed to PATH/lib.

A configure scripts takes some options. But for the gtkDPS package, 
folowing two options are important.

  --with-dps-includes=DIR  DPS include files are in DIR
  --with-dps-libraries=DIR DPS library files are in DIR

The configure scripts in gtkDPS try to find the DPS headers directory
and library directory. If the configure script cannot find them,
the configure script aborts to generate a Makefile. If your system 
has DPS and you know where the DPS files, you can specify them using
above options. The configure uses these above to candidates of paths,
and checking existence. 

After compiling, try a sample program named "sample".

% gtkDPS/sample

  --datadir=DIR           read-only architecture-independent data in DIR
                          [PREFIX/share]
  --sysconfdir=DIR        read-only single-machine data in DIR [PREFIX/etc]
  --sharedstatedir=DIR    modifiable architecture-independent data in DIR
                          [PREFIX/com]

  --libdir=DIR            object code libraries in DIR [EPREFIX/lib]

Host type:
  --build=BUILD           configure for building on BUILD [BUILD=HOST]
  --host=HOST             configure for HOST [guessed]

Features and packages:
  --disable-FEATURE       do not include FEATURE (same as --enable-FEATURE=no)
  --enable-FEATURE[=ARG]  include FEATURE [ARG=yes]
  --with-PACKAGE[=ARG]    use PACKAGE [ARG=yes]
  --without-PACKAGE       do not use PACKAGE (same as --with-PACKAGE=no)
  --x-includes=DIR        X include files are in DIR
  --x-libraries=DIR       X library files are in DIR
--enable and --with options recognized:
  --enable-maintainer-mode enable make rules and dependencies not useful
                          (and sometimes confusing) to the casual installer
  --with-x                use the X Window System
  --with-dps              use the DPS. Give yes or no. [yes]
  --with-dps-includes=DIR  DPS include files are in DIR
  --with-dps-libraries=DIR DPS library files are in DIR
