I. General

All software (i.e., information of any kind) contained in the distribution
files of Object Access software products is Copyrighted property of Object
Access, Inc. Object Access reserves all rights to this software.

II. Licensing Policy

None.

Unlike many software vendors, Object Access does not license its products
for use on specific hardware or by specific individuals. Our products are
sold, not licensed.

III. Sales Agreement

A. Software Installation and Usage

Object Access software is sold with the intent that it be used in a manner
similar to an audio recording. That is, you may install an Object Access
software package on one machine at a time. While it is on that machine, any
number of individuals may benefit from its use either sequentially or
concurrently. However, to use the package on a second machine requires that
you either purchase a second copy of the package, or remove a single copy
from the one machine and reinstall it on the second, just as you would buy
two audio recordings to be used on two players simultaneously, or else move
a single recording from one player to another. As in the case of audio
recordings, we consider the duplication of our software by the customer for
simultaneous installation on a number of platforms that exceeds the number
of copies purchased a violation of Copyright, with the exception of Site
quantity purchases.

B. Site Quantities

A Site quantity purchase grants the customer the right to make as many copies
of an Object Access software package as desired, for use on the platform type
for which it is intended, at the purchasing Site. In this context, a Site is
defined as all machines at the physical address specified on the orderform or
purchase order owned or under the local administrative control of the person
or organization specified on the orderform or purchase order. Thus, a site
may be one household, one office, one office building, or one building complex
depending on the specified address and purchaser.

For example, a Site purchase of PRL-POSIX for HPUX at a factory permits
PRL-POSIX to be installed on any or all machines running HP-UX that are
located at the portion of the factory complex that receives mail the mailing
address specified on the purchase order, and that are under the administrative
control of the corporation that owns the factory. Assuming the address of the
shop floor is on the site qualtity purchase order, then PRL-POSIX could be
installed on all HP-UX machines on the shop floor owned or controlled by
the corporation that owns the factory.

C. Software Backups

Any reasonable number of copies of an Object Access software package may be
made for backup purposes, providing such copies are only used in the event of
failure of the originals, or in lieu of the originals, in a manner consistent
with paragraph III.A or paragraph III.B, as applicable.

D. Acceptance of Terms

We believe this Sales Agreement strikes an acceptable balance between the
needs of software customers and the needs of software vendors, and is
consistent with accepted practice in related markets.

If, after having purchased on Object Access software product, you disagree
with the terms of this sales agreement, you may return the package for a full
refund provided (1) you have not made any copies of the package, and (2) you
submit your request for a refund in writing.

IV. Software Redistribution Policy

See the file COPYING_POLICY for more information about our policy regarding
redistribution of Object Access software.
